Nezaket Ekici is an international Performance Artist. She received her M.A. in Art Pedagogy from Maximilians-University Munich. She studied sculpture at Fine Arts Academy Munich and got her MFA in Performance Art at Braunschweig University of Art by Prof. Dr. Marina Abramovic. She has presented her work worldwide in museums, biennales, galleries and festivals, with more as 250 different performances, on 4 continents, more than 170 cities and 60 countries like in Museums PS1 New York (2004), Van Gogh Museum Amsterdam (2005), Istanbul Modern (2014), She got Art Awards like Rome Price, Villa Massimo Rome (2016/17) and Paula Modersohn-Becker Art Award (2018). Her work touches on art history, architecture, Turkish-German identity, gender, politics & religion. Ekici’s ideas come from the social and inter-cultural aspects of everyday life situations and are expressed in performances and installations.
