Massimo Bartolini b. 1962, Cecina, Italy Lives and works in Cecina, Italy
Massimo Bartolini was born in Cecina, Italy, where he lives and works. He studied at Istituto Tecnico per Geometri of Livorno and at the School of Fine Arts of Florence. His work investigates the uncanny side of architecture objects and landscape. The idea of music as a forming force is revealed in articulated sound installations, in constant collaboration with instrumentalists and composers or in a series of tributes to great musicians. Architecture, construction, perception, relativity, relationship, nature, changeability are some of the themes that intertwined and always emerge from his works.
Since 1993, he has been showing in many solo and group exhibitions. Most recent include: The City, My Studio/The City, My Life, Kathmandu Triennial, (Nepal, 2017); Habit Co-Habit, Pune Biennial, (Pune, India, 2017); Starting from the desert…, Yinchuan Biennale (Yinchuan, China, 2018). His selected solo show include: On Identikit (Csac Parma, 2020); Caudu e Fridu, (Manifesta 12, Palermo, Italy, 2018); and 4 Organs (Fondazione Merz, Torino, Italy, 2017).

มัสซิโม บาร์โตลีนี เกิดและอาศัยอยู่ที่ เมืองเชชีนา ประเทศอิตาลี เขาจบการศึกษาจาก วิทยาลัยเทคนิค Geometri แห่งเมืองลีวอร์โน และ School of Fine Arts เมืองฟลอเรนซ์ ผลงานของเขามักค้นหามุมมองใหม่ที่แปลกประหลาดแต่น่าสนใจทั้งในวัตถุและทิวทัศน์ และเขายังสนใจศาสตร์ของดนตรี โดยมักร่วมงานกับนักดนตรีและนักประพันธ์เพลง เพื่อผลิตผลงานประติมากรรมเสียง หรือผลิตชุดผลงานเพื่ออุทิศแด่นักดนตรีชื่อดังในอดีต นอกจากนี้เขายังสนใจในด้านสถาปัตยกรรมและการก่อสร้าง เรื่องของความสัมพันธ์ มุมมอง ธรรมชาติและการเปลี่ยนแปลง ซึ่งเป็นสิ่งที่ปรากฏอยู่ในผลงานเขาบ่อยครั้ง
