In Day’s RV Nights (2016) series, the images of recreational vehicles that look like glowing life-support pods lodged in the impenetrable night jungle suggest humanity in an escape from melt-down and dysfunction of the outside world beyond the trees. There is no-one else around them and they are completely hidden and isolated. What are they escaping from? Could it be environmental toxicity, the collapse of social order, or maybe from a dangerous disease? No one really knows. This series of photographs conveys a sense of troubled or broken social order and man's relationship with nature that is worrisome at best… Humans hiding in dark, impenetrable, almost unknowable nature, completely cut off from the rest of the world in their metallic shells.
