I-na Phuyuthanon is an artist and researcher, known for her video works addressing social issues emerging in the three southernmost provinces of Thailand; Pattani, Yala, and Narathiwat. She became interested in the daily problems of people living in the three southernmost provinces after she had witnessed her uncle being shot before her eyes. The incident prompted her to reflect on the current situations in her hometown where violence seemed common that people got used to it, yet their hearts were filled with fear and suspicion that they and their family would be the next victims.
In HARMONIMILITARY (2020), Phuyuthanon discusses a way out to survive and lead a peaceful life in dangerous areas where many villagers, including herself, study the Qur'an to be reminded and grateful of Allah for having created the comfort and made them realize the beauty of the surrounding. She later conducted field works in Korlorgaway village, Narathiwat, to interview a nurse who became a subject of persecution as her husband got publicly vilified for being a murderer. Despite her telling the story with tears in her eyes, she managed to make it through the incident by assenting to the belief that everything happened because God bestowed them on us people. Through the work, Phuyuthanon captures the beauty of the culture and nature of the village under peacekeeping operations by the military.
อัยนา ภูยุทธานนท์ ปัจจุบันเป็นทั้งศิลปินและนักวิจัย เธอเป็นที่รู้จักในวงการศิลปะผ่านผลงานวิดีโออาร์ตที่พูดถึงประเด็นทางสังคมที่เกิดขึ้นในสามจังหวัดชายแดนใต้ (ปัตตานี ยะลา และนราธิวาส) ของประเทศไทย ซึ่งผลงานของเธอไม่เพียงแต่เป็นกระบอกเสียงของคนท้องถิ่น แต่ยังสะท้อนถึงระบบการบริหารงานในระดับประเทศ เธอเริ่มสนใจลงพื้นที่ศึกษาและเผยแพร่เรื่องราวเกี่ยวกับปัญหาในชีวิตประจำวันของผู้คนที่อาศัยอยู่ในสามจังหวัดชายแดนใต้เมื่อเธอสูญเสียคุณอาของเธอไปต่อหน้าต่อตา คุณอาของเธอถูกกระสุน 6 นัดยิงเข้าใส่ เหตุการณ์ในวันนั้นทำให้อัยนาเริ่มทบทวนถึงสถานการณ์ปัจจุบันที่เกิดขึ้นในสังคมบ้านเกิดของเธอ ที่ความรุนแรงดูเหมือนจะเป็นเรื่องธรรมดาที่เกิดขึ้นจนผู้คนคุ้นชิน แต่ในขณะเดียวกันจิตใจของผู้คนเหล่านั้นก็เต็มไปด้วยความหวาดกลัว ระแวงว่าตนและครอบครัวจะเป็นเหยื่อรายถัดไป
ในผลงานศิลปะวีดิทัศน์ HARMONIMILITARY, พ.ศ. 2563 อัยนาพูดถึงการเอาตัวรอดและทางออกในการใช้ชีวิตอย่างมีความสุขสงบในพื้นที่อันตราย ชาวบ้านหลายคนรวมถึงตัวเธอเองใช้วิธีการศึกษาคัมภีร์อัลกุรอ่าน นึกถึงและคอยขอบคุณพระเจ้าอัลเลาะห์เพื่อสร้างความสบายใจและทำให้เห็นความงามของสิ่งรอบตัว ต่อมาอัยนาได้ลงพื้นที่ที่คอลอกาเว จังหวัดนราธิวาส เธอสัมภาษณ์นางพยาบาลผู้ตกเป็นจำเลยสังคม สามีของเธอถูกประจานต่อหน้าชุมชนว่าเป็นโจรฆ่าคน แม้นางพยาบาลคนนี้จะเล่าไปพร้อมน้ำตา แต่เธอก็ผ่านเหตุการณ์นี้มาได้ โดยยินยอมต่อความเชื่อที่ว่าทุกสิ่งที่เกิดขึ้นเพราะพระเจ้าทรงประทานลงมานั่นเอง เพราะฉะนั้นเพียงผู้คนทำตัวกลมกลืนกันไป ก็จะอยู่รอดในพื้นที่นี้ต่อไปได้ อัยนาถ่ายทอดความสวยงามของวัฒนธรรมและธรรมชาติของคอลอกาเว ภายใต้การจัดการสร้างความสงบสุขในพื้นที่โดยการทหารผ่านผลงานชิ้นนี้
