For BAB 2020 Tiprachart presents Lai torn, a video installation that portrays rituals and animism related to spirits of water deity, the Naga. Tiprachart combines local dance, Morlam, a traditional style of Isaan music, and Naga boat procession as offerings for deities to repel bad spirits and keep nature in balance. Lao-Thai animism has long been channel of escapism for local people who pray for good harvest or lucky lottery numbers.
